Is anyone else but me seriously considering switching from iPhone 4 to the Samsung galaxy s3?? That’s if Verizon gets it. The specs look amazing but I’m afraid to take the leap!

As watching CNN this am and saw this news on the news ticker… I guess since being with Verizon for a long time and now this I’ll be leaving them this winter. One bad thing is I live in an area of southern Illinois that’s very rural and not too many cell service providers so I might even have to drop the iPhone…arghhhhh

Hi guys, I’m trying to buy an iPhone 4 and I found a guy off CL who wants to sell it for $50. The screen is cracked and he also mention last minute that it has a bad ESN. If I buy it, what can I do to it to make it useable for phone calls and texts? Will jailbreaking it an unlocking help? It was on the Verizon network but I want to use it for my T Mobile account. Can I do it and how?

Ok, so I have an iPhone 4S. I have a pretty long commute through some areas that do not have a 3G signal. Here’s what I’ve noticed; if I’m using something that requires 3G service, like iTunes Match, and I drive into one of those non-3G areas obviously I lose my stream. But, if I don’t interrupt iTunes Match (with a call, or closing the app, etc.) the 3G connection will not come back on its own even when I drive back into a 3G area. I’ve tested this with a couple different apps (ie, downloading apps in the App Store, youtube videos, etc). However, if I switch on airplane mode real quick, reset my cellular data in the Network settings, or get a call, ANYTHING that interrupts that data program, then it comes back. Anyone have an explanation and/or fix for this?

Service in school is bad. But I have the 1x logo, and when I get to a place where I know there’s 3G, it won’t update unless I put it on airplane and then off airplane. Why doesn’t it go auto?

I had a lot of trouble when I was initially upgrading my iTunes to 5.1 and now there are updates galore and it’s giving me trouble how do I update my iTunes on my windows pc? It’s running windows 7 currently, not good at this so keep it simple please so I can understand. Thanks for any and all help given in advance.

I have a a verizon iphone 4. I noticed my phone was severely lagging so I tried a hard reset. When the phone restarted I noticed the status bar appear underneath the apple logo on the middle of the screen as if I was doing an ios update (I currently have ios 5.1) When the loading bar was finished I noticed my screen was dim and the battery percentage was gone. My alert sounds had also changed. This also happened to me about a month ago when I got done working an overnight shift about 5 weeks ago. I had an app that wouldn’t work right so I tried a hard reset. Had the same problem with the status bar that time too and the settings changing. However after I went to sleep & woke up my password to the lock screen did not work! I went to the genius bar @ the apple store & they didn’t know what was wrong. They said the only thing I could do was restore my phone from a backup or lose all my data. I wasn’t gonna do that so I decided to wait awhile and attempt my lock screen password a few hours later & hope my phone wouldn’t wipe after trying an incorrect password too many times. It ended up working but it really bothered me that they had no explanation for any of this! Please help!!!

Just moved from CA to FL and now my phone beeps twice when making and receiving calls. Verizon says they don’t know. Can anyone out there help me? It’s annoying me:)
